叉形针的作用是将织物表面制成环状或绒面结构，环状条纹产品就要使叉口方向与纤网运动方向垂直，绒面产品就要使叉口方向与纤网运动方向一致。叉形针可制成单缩径和多缩径，一般15-20号使用单缩径，21-30号使用双缩径，30以上机号的使用多缩径。
The functional of furcated needle is to enable the surface of fabrics to be annular or velvet cover structure. While making products with annular stripe, the direction of placket and moving direction of fiber mesh should be vertical to each other, but while making products with velvet cover, the two directions should be consistent to each other. In use of furcated needle, the fabrics can be in single deflation path and multiple deflation path. Typically, machine number in 15-20 adopts single deflation path, machine number in 21-30 adopts double deflation path, while machine number beyond 30 adopts multiple deflation path.
